Beckett ordered the body to be brought up, but he gracefully avoided it.
Further investigation revealed that the man had a rum bottle with a note inside.
Above is the emblem of the East India Trading Company.
Beckett smiled.
"Sir." Glazer interrupted him, pointing to the distant horizon, where another flock of circling birds loomed.
Someone must be showing them the way--a way that leads directly to the Black Pearl.
"Like crumbs," Beckett said to himself. "It's horrible."
He was referring to the note, "We're going to follow suit and steer, Captain."
......
As night fell, on the Black Pearl, a dark figure crouched on the ship's side, tying another corpse to a vat.
He lifted the body up with all his might and was about to throw it into the sea.
However, a voice came from behind him, stopping his movement.
"I knew a cell wouldn't hold you," Jack said.
Will Turner put down the dead body and turned around quickly.
He reached for his sword, but Jack clapped his hands casually.
"Wait, William," he said, "did you notice something? Or, did you not notice something? Or should I say, did you notice something that shouldn't have been noticed?"

Will blinked, sorting out the messy and incoherent list of questions.
"You didn't sound the alarm," he said.
"It's queer, isn't it?" said Jack.
He carefully observed Will's bundled corpse and vat: "But it's not as weird as this one."
"I'm leaving clues," Will admitted, "for Beckett."
"Did you come up with this plan yourself?" Jack asked.
Will nodded uncertainly.
Despite being Jack, he felt admiration. It was an ingenious plan, full of piracy and fraud, not typical of young Mr. Turner.
"Well," Jack said, "what are you going to do once you give away the fraternity's address?"
"Let Beckett release my father."
Jack snorted and laughed, "Now, it sounds like a plan you came up with yourself. You can't expect Beckett to fulfill this deal, even if you shook hands and promised, even if you gave him what he wanted, Neither will he."
He observed Will carefully: "Do you know what the price of doing this is?"
"Kill Jones," Will admitted with a sigh.
"So you know the price." Jack said, "The souls who died at sea can only be transported to land once every ten years..."
Will hangs his head, knowing it's the truth.
He knew that saving his father would mean becoming captain of the Flying Dutchman, an immortal man.
He knew that meant he would never be able to be with Elizabeth.
"I'm losing her, Jack," Will said despondently, "for every step I take toward my father, I take a step away from Elizabeth."
For so long all he had wanted was her love.
For ten years he had waited for a sign that she would love him.
Later, Jack arrives, and despite the dramatic adventures that follow, it's all worth it.
Elizabeth had opened up her heart, but now, all of that felt so far away.
He thought of the person standing beside him, and he added in a low voice: "In order to save you, she is willing to do anything."
"Save me from the fate she's assigned me," Jack pointed out.
"She felt bad for killing you," Will retorted.
"Yeah, she's a baby, in that," said Jack, rolling his eyes.
He looks at Will, and the idea pops into his head that maybe he can make this work in his favor.
"What if there was a way to avoid making this choice altogether?" he asked with a twinkle in his eye. "If someone else got rid of Jones, then your father would be free, just as if you had done it yourself." do the same."
"Who?" Will asked, confused.
Jack tilted his head, looking at Will's bewildered expression, Jack spread his arms as if blowing a horn.
"You?" Will said in great astonishment, "I know last time, you were desperate to not serve on the Flying Dutchman."
Jack shrugged. "Death can reset a person's priorities."
"I know what awaits me in another world, a place I don't intend to go again, never," he said.
Besides, being the captain of the Flying Dutchman and being Davy Jones' man were two different things.
Jack Sparrow leaned forward, growing agitated as his plan took shape.
"I board the Dutchman." He sketched eagerly: "Find that treasure chest, stab that jumping thing, your father's debt is cancelled, you are free to be with your charming female killer, and I, can Forever free to sail the seas."
He grinned. It was a pretty neat plan.
