"Okay." Jack let out a breath and asked, "I want to know what you want that compass for?"
"To save Elizabeth," Will replied.
Jack shook his head and began to climb up the sail rope: "This sounds familiar."
True, the last time Will was with Jack was when he was trying to save Elizabeth.
To make the meaning clearer, Jack added:
"Have you considered keeping her a close watch? Maybe lock her up somewhere?"
"She's locked up, in jail, and sure to hang for helping you," Will snapped.
Jack hesitated for a moment, digesting Will's words.
However, he shrugged and continued to crawl: "It's not that I don't want to help you, but sometimes, people have to be responsible for their own mistakes."
Jack said and got into the ship's mast lookout.
"Even if I can help you get back the compass, if you take the compass away to save your little beauty, what good will I do?"
The air froze for a moment.
"You can get amnesty, freedom and an appointment." Will looked up and said loudly when he saw this, "In exchange, you will get a complete pardon and be appointed as a privateer loyal to England!"
Hearing that there was a commotion on the deck of the Black Pearl, even Barbossa, who was not interested at all before, suddenly regained his energy.
Jack was still shaking his head: "No, accepting these is what you want me to do, don't you want to know what I want from you?"
Will took two steps forward, his gaze still firm.
There's nothing more excruciating than negotiating terms with a nasty pirate.
"So what do you want from me, Jack?" Will said finally, backing off anyway.
"This is dangerous..." Jack warned Will, fumbling for the little piece of cloth in his pocket. "If you find this for me, I'll exchange the compass with you."
Will stared at the key imprint on the cloth. "So you want me to help you, and you want the amnesty?"
This, Will thought, would take Jack off the edge of this tricky deal.
Jack nodded: "Then you go and save your blonde beauty."
Will looked at the piece of cloth and asked Jack: "Can this thing save Elizabeth?"
Jack leaned in front of Will, as if there was air eavesdropping, and he asked in a low voice, "What do you know about Davy Jones?"
"Nothing," Will said.
"That's fine." Jack nodded vigorously and said, "Then this thing can save Elizabeth."

Somewhere out on the open sea a figure slipped stealthily across the ladder ropes of the Edinburgh Merchant's beams.
This person was none other than Elizabeth Swan, still in her sailor suit.
She moved to the light outside the captain's room, where she could hear the sound of an argument.
"It's an outrage!" Captain Bellamy complained, looking at the ship's ledgers. "Port taxes, berth fees, my God, and navigation fees!"
"Sir, Tortuga is probably the only free port in this water." The quartermaster on board suggested that he knew the captain would not be indifferent to this.
The captain did react, and he flew into a rage:
"You're talking about a pirate port! I'm sorry, but I'm a dutiful sailor. I live a decent life and sleep soundly at night. Thank you."
He didn't go on talking, the accountant interrupted them, pointing to the window outside the cabin: "Sir!"
"What?" Bellamy asked angrily.
But the cashier was shaking so much that he could only point.

"What?" Bellamy asked angrily.
But the cashier was shaking so much that he could only point.
The captain turned around and saw a shadow in a white dress passing by the window, and he ran out to the dimly lit deck.
"Tell me you did see it," asked the ship's cook in horror.
"Yes, I did see it," Bellamy replied, watching the white dress float back toward the bowsprit.
High on the rigging, Elizabeth was quietly pulling at her skirt with a fishing line.
With a flick of her arm, she pulled a thread and lifted the sleeve of her dress.
The sleeve pointed to Captain Bellamy, and then to the sea, and the crew hurried away from the captain.
"She wants you to do something," said the cashier.
The quartermaster immediately asked, "Did you jump down?"
Bellamy frowned at him: "She's going to give us a signal!"
Then, a gentle voice floated over against the sea breeze.
"To...or...tu...ga."
The cook exclaimed, "Did you hear that?"
"Bermuda?" asked the cashier.
"Tobago?" said the quartermaster.
Suddenly, the ghost bride rushed to the side of the boat and fell into the sea.
While the crew was busy looking overboard, Elizabeth had jumped down and stood behind them.
"Look for the signal!" Bellamy called out to everyone.
"There!" the quartermaster said, pointing to the sea: "It's there! There's a signal!"
